Server archives in batch mode

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to create backups of Doors projects and save them on the server with DXL. Currently we are using several versions of Doors: 5.2, 7.1, 8.3 and 9.2. I am able to produce and store an archive locally by running a DXL script in batch mode on Doors 8.3.

-Is it possible to store the archive directly on the server (assumed that server archiving is enabled) on all four versions?
-Is there a function or parameter to store the archive on the server or can I simply provide a filename only?
-Could you please provide me with an example for version 8.3?

Many thanks and kind regards,

Hello Jester,

I was aware of this thread. Unfortunately, no information is given about storing the archives on the server.

Hello Jester,

Well there is a mechanism in DOORS called "Server Archive". If you look at the "Archive & Restore" section of the DXL help, then you will see, that the archive function has a bool parameter to specify that the "Archive will be created in the database server-side archive location". Maybe this is what you want. Regards, Mathias
